Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are philanthropy’s fastest-growing vehicle, but they are often misunderstood. This session will address what DAFs are, how they differ from other types of donations, and how they fit into a funding strategy.
Specifically, the session will:
Provide an overview of DAFs;
Explain the types of institutions that administer DAFs;
Engage in a critical discussion of legal and ethical issues related to DAFs, which are different than those requirements for foundations or individual donors; and
Offer suggestions on how to maximize your organization’s receipt of DAF giving.
Cost:
$0 GPA & AFP Members; $10 Non-Members
